Glidden Trade has selected York's The Fox FC as its "Premier Makeover" competition winner. Selected due to their captain's enthusiastic goal celebration and the club's support for Marie Curie Cancer Care, the team fought off tough competition to win a £20,000 makeover fit for any premiership squad.
After scoring a goal in a charity match against York City, Captain Lee Quickmere pulled up his shirt to reveal a billowing belly with the famous "shirt over head" move before he bowed out in a blaze of glory.
The competition will see the team living the high life for an entire season with a much needed makeover for the team's clubhouse, a new kit and washing service, executive travel to and from away matches and a training session with a leading football coach. And while the boys are away the girls will play, the WAGs are also being treated to a pampering session, shopping experience and VIP entry into an exclusive London club. Phew!
The once in a lifetime Glidden Trade Premier Makeover competition is a huge coup for the team and will hopefully lend a helping hand towards putting some points on the score board. To see the team's charity work and their Yorkshire Dungeon inspired charity calendar visit www.ihelped.info.
