Following the Biocidal Products Directive (BPD), Cuprinol Trade has launched its 'Treat it Better' campaign with the introduction of a reformulated range of wood preservers, offering even better protection.
The reformulated preservers have been developed not only as a result of the BPD, but also to provide enhanced performance. The BPD legislation affects biocidal substances and products which destroy or deter harmful organisms such as insects, bacteria, moulds or fungi and has been introduced to ensure that all preservers conform to EU efficacy and environmental standards.
The comprehensive range is made up of Cuprinol Trade Exterior Wood Preserver, Decorative Preserver and Wood Preserver Clear. In each case, greater protection has been added. The first two provide excellent defence against weather rot and bluestain, with Decorative Preserver having the added benefit of resisting fading and colour change for up to five years. Wood Preserver Clear can be used for interior applications, protecting against rot and bluestain.
"The latest developments in the Cuprinol Trade range will make a significant improvement to the wood preservation market," said Richard Bradley, Marketing Manager Trade Woodcare. "The new formulas offer enhanced performance features, helping customers fight wood decay and rot, as well as deliver the finish they need.
"Available in a variety of natural colours, the easy to apply preservers provide a great finish and meet a wide variety of requirements for both exterior and interior wood protection."
