Lucky winners get decked out with Cuprinol Trade

Over the last few months, Cuprinol Trade has been giving the lucky readers of Professional Painter and Decorator the chance to win a shed load of its Exterior Wood Preserver. To get their hands on fifteen five litre tins of Cuprinol Trade Exterior Wood Preserver (BP), readers of the October, December and March issues simply had to answer a question found in the magazine and send their entries in.

The competition was run to coincide with the relaunch of Cuprinol Trade Exterior Wood Preserver, which has recently changed in formulation following the new Biocidal Products Directive (BPD). A highly versatile solution, Cuprinol Trade Exterior Wood Preserver is suitable for smooth planed and rough sawn timber, and applications such as fences, gates and sheds.

The lucky winners were Robert Ogborn (October), Maxine Tony (December) and Michael Attwood (March), all of which will be treating their wood to some Timber Loving Cuprinol (TLC), courtesy of Cuprinol Trade.

This BPD affects biocidal substances which destroy or deter harmful organisms such as insects, bacteria, moulds or fungi. As a result, products such as wood preservers have to conform to the new European wide environmental safety criteria and meet fresh standards in terms of effectiveness. The new water-based Exterior Wood Preserver now has higher levels of an active ingredient which can help protect against rot and decay. Plus, delivering added benefits, the latest formulation also protects against bluestain.
