The Dulux Select Decorator team has named Wayne de Wet as Dulux Select Decorator of the Year 2011. The coveted prize was presented to Wayne at the annual Dulux Select Decorator Winter Ball ceremony, where he also won gold in his category for a painting and decorating project worth between £3,000 and £5,999.
As well as recognising top talent in the painting and decorating industry, this special event raises significant funds for worthy charities. As well as a charity raffle that raised £4,500 for Cancer Research UK, the evening also raised £1,700 for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital."

Wayne de Wet, owner of Wayne de Wet Decorating Specialist, has over 33 years decorating experience and scooped the top spot for his work transforming a home in Suffolk. His project was picked out by the judges from entries received from decorators across the country, as it showcased his extensive range of decorating skills and first class craftsmanship. As well as receiving the two prestigious awards and trophies, Wayne was presented with £1,500 worth of gift vouchers. Chris Foster from CF Painting & Decorating, Darren Whitfield, of A Whitfield & Son and Mark Ashworth based in Cheshire, also received accolades as winners of their respective categories.
Speaking about his win, Wayne said: "Winning my category was a significant achievement in itself, but to also receive the grand prize was overwhelming. The support we've had from the Dulux Select Decorator team over the years has been invaluable and has definitely helped to make my business stand out. This award really is the pinnacle of my 33 year career in the trade, it's great to finally have my work recognised through such a prominent accolade."
