Dulux Trade puts Colour in the pocket of contractors

Dulux Trade has launched a handy new pocket-sized colour card specifically for commercial contractors, including some of the most popular shades for walls and feature walls, doors, architraves and metalwork.

The Commercial Colour Guide draws on the colour expertise of Dulux Trade to provide a selection of 72 colours chosen primarily for their suitability for commercial projects. Opening up so that all colours can be viewed at once, the card also folds down to a handy pocket-sized guide which can easily be carried around.

The highly experienced Dulux Trade commercial colour consultants hand picked the featured shades which will enhance all buildings, from vast office blocks and shopping centres to more domestic settings.

The new colour card has been specifically developed for contractors working on projects where the client requires a selection of appropriate colours, but not so many as to overwhelm or make it difficult to decide. It's a great starting point for discussion and shows which colours are popular for use on different areas of a building.

The card also includes a good number of ever-popular neutrals, and other colours are arranged by hue for easy selection. From the deeper colours traditionally used for doors and woodwork, through to pale shades popular on larger wall spaces, there are a variety of easy reference colours to suit all surfaces, areas and commercial interiors.

Featured on the back of the colour card is advice on sustainable solutions, including the latest Dulux Trade products and useful tips to minimise the environmental impact of paint and its disposal. Inside, Light Reflectance Values (LRVs), which help contractors to accommodate and adhere to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) visual contrast guidelines, are listed for each colour.

The card makes it more straight forward to choose colours for large projects. As our colour consultants have selected colours that are commonly used by them in a commercial context, the contractor and his customers can be more confident when making their selections.
