New water-based products from Cuprinol Trade set the standard

Cuprinol, renowned for its heritage and expertise in woodcare, is meeting the challenge of sustainability and performance head-on with the launch of two new water-based products to its Cuprinol Trade range, which deliver the same excellence in function and user benefits of solvent-based equivalents.

The two new products also feature other advantages due to their water-based formulation.

Cuprinol Trade Landscape Stain & Preserver*, is the first water-based preserver in the Cuprinol Trade range, which in terms of performance is as good as solvent-based equivalents, offers customers the further benefits of low odour and quick drying protection against the growth of green algae.

As a water-based product it also gives negligible pigment rub-off within two hours of last-coat application, compared to solvent-based preservers, which would take about seven days to reach a similar level of rub-off. This can reduce the time taken to complete the job as items such as plants can be moved into contact with the treated wood much sooner.

Cuprinol Trade Landscape Stain & Preserver is a high quality, exterior pigmented wood preservative for rough sawn and smooth garden timbers such as cladding, fencing, sheds and summerhouses that preserves the colour for up to five years. Containing active ingredients which penetrate the timber to prevent rot and decay, it is suitable for all types of uncoated wood and comes in 2.5L, 5L and 20L pack sizes. Six ready-mixed colours are available - Moorland Green, Autumn Cedar, Rich Brown, Rustic Walnut, Dark Oak and Black. It can also be sprayed with the Cuprinol Power Sprayer for added convenience.

The second product, Cuprinol Trade Landscape & Decking Oil, has been specifically developed to meet market expectations in decking, a major growth area within trade woodcare. It is the first decking oil in Cuprinol Trade’s woodcare product range.

Cuprinol Trade Landscape & Decking Oil’s water-based blend of resins and oils helps to protect against weathering and enhances the natural appearance of the wood, and is safe to use near plants. Its unique formulation also makes it an ideal choice for decking as it provides a light and natural finish.

Cuprinol Trade Landscape & Decking Oil is available in six ready-mixed colours - Moorland Green, Autumn Cedar, Rich Brown, Rustic Walnut, Dark Oak and Black - in two pack sizes, 2.5L and 5L.
